BEM Systems, as part of a team lead by Bethel Environmental Solutions LLC (BES), was recently awarded an Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Alaska District. The ERS, with a total shared contract value of $140,000,000 over its five year life, covers a wide range of environmental remediation services that includes but is not limited to active military and formerly used defense sites throughout Alaska and potentially extending beyond Alaska within the USACE Pacific Ocean Division area of responsibility.
BES, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Bethel Native Corporation that is an Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act village corporation, has partnered with BEM on a number of DoD projects over the past ten years. Mark Nardolillo, BEM’s CEO announced that “remote Alaska is a particularly challenging environment to conduct fieldwork, but the partnership with BES has been very fruitful and rewarding. We have a shared commitment for producing high-quality work as safely as possible. I am very excited about the opportunity to build upon that success through this ERS contract”.
