BEM Systems, Inc. (BEM) is pleased to announce the award of three New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) contracts over the past two months to provide remediation services at various NJDOT sites throughout north, central, and southern New Jersey. Two of the awards are three-year Environmental Services Term Agreement contracts to provide a full range of environmental services, including site and remedial investigations, permitting, remedial action, reporting, long-term management and monitoring, and site closure under the oversight of BEM’s Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRPs). The third is a project-specific contract to conduct clean-up activities on a NJDOT Route 280 Right-Of-Way site. BEM will execute these contracts out of our Chatham, New Jersey headquarters.
The NJDOT’s mission is to ensure the safe movement of people and goods throughout the state. In carrying out that mission, the NJDOT must maintain environmental compliance for its maintenance yards, facilities, state and local roadways, right-of-way, and other properties. Under these contracts, BEM will be responsible for producing studies and investigations on behalf of the NJDOT. BEM’s staff will perform environmental services that are compliant with applicable local, state, and federal laws, as well as help to minimize environmental impact for New Jersey’s transportation network. Working with NJDOT, BEM’s LSRP will ensure the remediation is conducted to minimize impacts to the human health and the environment.
